Picking it out to eat it separate, maybe...  but it's a tasty vegetable when done right.

Cauliflower, otoh....  :Zzzz:
Pointless veggie.  Only good if sauced or spiced beyond recognition, and broccoli still tastes better in most dishes.  LOOOVES broccoli, since childhood.

I love plain cauliflower - ugh adulterate that with rubbish and you are dead meat.

Ah Griffin, you should try Madhur Jaffrey's recipe for Aloo Ghobi (potatoes and cauliflower)! Pure delight! :kisshands:

One of the most infuriating things in my life is my inability to digest broccoli anymore. After they took out half of my stomach, I had lots of trouble digesting ANYTHING with much fiber. Eventually, I got some of my digestive ability back--I can eat apples now, and some veggies, but not broccoli. Since I used to LIVE on it...grew 30-40 plants every season (and we could do back to back growing seasons for it because we're so far south, if we did starters in peat pots for second crop) and ate it raw, cooked, frozen (take frozen spears, dip into hot melted cheese--yum) any way at all. LOVED it.

Unless I run it through the blender for 3 to 5 minutes, eating it is a guaranteed emergency room visit for me. After 5 minutes in a blender, why bother? It drives me nuts. (Frickin'  :censored: cancer... :nono:)
