I still can't decide whether I'm pleased or not... our labor party (left-wing) is having an election next week as to their leader...

I can't decide whether to back the old hand who's experienced but not really doing a wonderful job, or the two new-uns who will no doubt change things but quite possibly stuff other things up along the way...

Ah well, it will be interesting if nothing else. And I can't deny that the labor party needs some kind of change, whoever initiates it...

So, now that we have a (just) Democratic congress , what would you like to pass, what do you think will pass, what do you hope doesn't?

Me? I just want them to get the hell rid of John Bolton.   

Sometime in the last week or so, the site layout stopped working properly for me on Firefox. It all stretches out and I have to scroll down about a page and a half to get to the content... the sidebar is in the normal place, but the black background and coloured header aren't working.

If I use the Firefox extension to convert it to IE, or actual IE (I use 6) it works better... background and header come back and everything's normal when viewing forums, but when posting replies or new topics the box you type into (ie the one I'm typing into right now) is right down the page, as though it couldn't fit in with the sidebar.

So... it doesn't work on either. But much worse on Firefox. Anyone else having this problem?

Great new British comedy featuring Maggie Smith (all hail) - provides some interesting moral ideas. I recommend it to all (except the very young) and am interested to discuss the views put forward within it... but first, has anyone seen it?
