Poodles swim well in puddles?

Dunno on the little ones - Standards are strong swimmers and ferocious barkers (very deep chested*, so they sound a lot scarier than they look).

Personally, I have little interest in any dog I could eat in a single sitting; better if they can feed a family for a couple of days in an emergency situation*.

*Nice long ribs on a Standard - the frontquarters are otherwise a bit scrawny, but the hindquarters appear to have some nice meat.
