Ayuh.  I don't mind chinooks (Föhn) here, but not looking forward to 8 months of temperatures sat firmly in the -10 to +5 C range, with occasional dips to -40 and peaks to +25.

Give me -5 to -10 and a foot or three of snow from mid-November to mid-March and I'm happy.

Last here it's always a white Halloween and a brown Xmas  :P Post

anthrobabe

well Aggie you are an old married man now and I'm sure you and the missus will figure out how to keep the chill away!

Horay! for someone to snuggle with.

I like snow that sticks about for a while- where I am it sleets and ices the roads and then the power goes out and we rarely get good snow.

I'm moving to Australia- or Borneo or somewhere so I don't get snow teased!

Hey, I am 55, and I have never seen actual snow that sticks this far south, except once.

We're not that far away, but we're snow free!!

Last I have never seen snow more than 5 inches deep, either. Post

My experience form the last few years is snowing in the morning(or during the night), thawing in the afternoon, dirty slush for days, then repeat cycle.

Sounds like Vancouver.  Canuckistani cities that don't usually get snow are thrown into chaos by it.  Winter-tire-using cities are not so bad.

You want to talk confusion, look at Dallas when it gets a couple of inches of snow.  Utter mayhem.
