Given that a hotter climate would also likely increase the strength of storms, the British isles would not just be but constantly become smaller. During the last Ice Age Britain was not even an island. It's doubtful that the locals would have been able to withstand the onslaught of the heavy Neanderthal tank forces, had the latter put more effort into metal works. This not being the case their inadequatly armored wooly mammoth charge ended at the outskirts of the bog that would be London.
