A word museum would contain words and their explanation, if not obvious. The main exhibits would be words that are becoming extinct and especially bizarre words.

Although the next Pratchett is announced at amazon for next week, I walked into a big book store on my way home and already found it there (and left the shop with it leaving alas some money behind too).
I learned from one of the early chapters that "fornication" has also an architectural meaning (from fornix = arch)
