You should see the MSDN help files you get with Visual Studio, A DVD's worth or more. Mind you, if you also have to code for Solaris and Linux like me it's a pleasant change to have some accurate documentation beyond a scrappy man page.

My problem with Vista is I can't find a laptop certified good enough (Vista Premium Ready) to do the stuff I want (XAML, Silverlight, Aero Glass 3-D graphics etc).

My first harddisk was 20 MB too. I was unable to exhaust it in 5.5 years without ever deleting any file to my knowledge.
Then some part in the PC failed and it was too obsolete to be repaired.

My only possible motivation to get Vista would be to run DX10 games (like Crysis) but 1. I don't have a DX10 video card yet (nor the $400 for a decent one) and 2. there is a group of hackers that is bringing DX10 to win XP (and the games will surely play better).
