No, that's a shawarma, not a donair. 

It's funny that North Americans don't really know the Dönertier - I certainly looked at the few I ran into with suspicion back home.  Got introduced in Oz, and there's some great shops in Calgary.  The rest of the western world seems to have figured it out....  still rare in some parts of Asia.

naw, it's a thing. it's like, it was mystery meat on a stick, but then it spread wings and flew away, developing into the meat-layered deer/armadillo thing today.
