In theory I should be cleaning a database. In praxis I am too far away from a pc to do it.

Last I guess I'll have to do it tonight Post

Kiyo, you should get yourself access to a chemical lab. They have the 100% stuff there.

It won't do you any harm, I promise.

The denaturants might.  Everclear* cogeners are bad enough, and at least those can be cleaned up with charcoal to some degree.

Last *if you care to stick with branded US grain alcohol.  The Polish stuff is even cheaper, and based on Canadian liquor prices is probably 99.9% tax anyways. Post

And less likely to be non-lethal, too!

Heh, I don't know if I'd go that far, 'Paca.  Both are pretty lethal as beverages.  I should pick some up for household (=kitchen chemistry) solvents, though.  More expensive but less toxic than other options (MeOH, i-PrOH).  I've been killing flies with i-PrOH lately (and Drosophilla sp. with CH3(CH2)2CH3 in banana-traps).

When my father worked at Warsaw Polytechnic, he once took a bottle of 100% pure, laboratory-grade stuff home to mix drinks with.

That falls under "stories not to tell your kids."

How cold is it that you can use butane to kill flies?

The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.
