Yes, I'll second that.  Especially chocolate beer....

I'm thinking about what beer to make in the fall once the weather gets reliably cool enough for brewing.  I have a recipe for a Viennese Spiced Porter that sounds nice, but I need to find a local source for whole vanilla beans if I want to do it.

BTW, Aggie: I've got one good bottle left of the Scottish Ale.  Are the greyhounds still on strike?

All the German songs about candy* that I know (or semi-know) were picked up during Oktoberfest being sung by people who were not in the most eloquent of states, while I was not in the best condition for listening or learning.

No, they are back in service (short strike).  Wondering if one bottle would ship cheaper through the post, though...  might be risking breakage.

Oh!  I'll probably have some wine left over after the wedding, I could send you a bottle back out in late October.  You prefer whites or reds? - we did four varieties.  It's nothing particularly special, but it's had a solid year to age and is very drinkable.

That spiced Porter sounds divine for a winter brew....  try a natural food, bulk food or spice shop for the beans.  How many do you need?  They are hideously expensive, but definitely light enough to mail-order, if you trust the vendor to keep fresh materials on hand.
