Sooner or later, all threads in a general discussion forum move in parallel directions.  I think it defines the soul of the forum (DP forum always turns into cartoon-style battles).  I'm glad that deep down this place is one big Last Post thread.

Depends on the country, I suppose.  Some places in the world, public drinking is just fine.

I'd like it here, but Canadians are far to car-dependent to make this a safe proposition.  Much better of an idea in a pedestrian/transit culture.
