We have at least one that still works (and one that doesn't due to the rubber of the transmission belt having deteriorated).
It's rarely used though.

Turntables are trying for a comeback over here with a USB port as main selling argument.
To me this sounds more like: use this thing to digitize your collection, then you can get rid of it.

I bought a turntable with USB - actually it was part of an all in one does everything cheapish thingy, tapes, CDs, LPs..... bla, bla. Three years ago. I had previously started digitising my tapes, but had stopped and thought I'd restart with this new set up, and also digitise my LPs (and some EPs). But I still haven't. I am too busy. I miss my simple and much more expensive Sony tape/CD/MP3 player which is in the cupboard as no room to have both out.

I also have a new overbed table which has in built disco type lights (I can vary colour and intensity) and bluetooth speakers (also power points and USB ports) - it is amazing - so I can play my digitised music from my laptop through decent speakers. I backed it's creation via Kickstarter, took a risk which worked out, so got it really cheap (it is fearsomely expensive) - it is a thing of beauty and delight.

I have a gallon jug of home-made apple cider in the cellar that I need to finish working with... first time I've made it and it was quite informal, so no idea on strength and it'll probably be better lightly carbonated.

I like wine and will happily drink it if someone offers it,  but left to my own devices I drink mostly beer (it comes in more convenient serving sizes, and a greater spectrum of flavours). I haven't found too many types of alcohol that I actively dislike, besides cheap baijiu and straight Everclear (best kept as an edible solvent).

I'm a little suspicious of French wine... it often says 'cat water' on the label, according to my official Canadian grasp of French.

In fairness, dry wines are a relatively recent thing, all wines were sweet in the before times.
