It takes a good deal of effort to provoke Athena and usually she gives a fair warning before she retaliates.
Of course, if you rape one of her priestesses or (if you are her priestess) sleep with another deity in or in front of her temple, she will dispense with the warning (and who could blame her?).

It's kept together merely with adhesive tape.
It still exists, I keep it somewhere in a box.

It was originally planned as part of a larger piece (that was never made).
I work so slowly that any permanent sticking surface (e.g. plaster) to put the pieces on would dry out long before I would be able to finish it.
I am currently thinking about creating a series of portraits of the Olympians with the same material but non-permanently. I.e., I would lay out a mosaic, take photos of it and then dissassemble it again in order to use the pieces for the next one. For that I could simply put the sketch below instead of trying to copy the design on an empty surface.

*OK, that's easy. I was just typing a scene of the satyr play that I am currently working on into the PC and dialogue in these is in that metre.

I was looking at some Roman mosaics and was thinking that it could be hobby: making mosaics for home and placing in the walls, etc.

There are quite a few books on DIY mosaics on the market.

What does "number the pieces of yours for attachment" mean?
I thought I deleted the one I accidentally posted twice.
I have developed a bit of a mouse arm doing those mosaics on screen, so I will have to abstain for a while.
Currently working on my satyr play, preparing the critical apparatus.
Have to do another vase painting for the title (showing Odysseus in disguise, Telemachos and Silenos)

It's a puzzle so at the time of application you give/use the numbered map to paste it to the floor/wall.

MB? In mosaic art you make the design and number the pieces on the back and on the map. The more complex the mosaic the more critical it becomes as you wouldn't make the design directly on the wall/floor and the pieces may have slightly different shapes and/or colors (particularly when making scenes with faces/bodies).

Going back to fake vase paintings at the moment.
