Had a rather strange dream this night.
I was sitting in a room (bare white walls, just two chairs) with Charles Darwin. Looking out of the window it was all grainy black and white (like in old movies) outside (inside it was colour). There was a tank outside and a few GIs. But out of the tank's hatch there looked a chimpanzee (and a female GI). Then suddenly a platoon of GIs marched towards the house but they turned out to be apemen (very slender, not just upright walking chimps). Can't remember what happened afterwards. But Darwin did not look up from the book he was reading.

There's been loads of stuff about expiring species on UK TV recently. 4 black rhinos died when released into the wild from drinking water that was too salty. Darwin would have a fit.

We've just had major peaceful protests re DT visiting - he presumably thought they were all pleased to see him. His worst atrocity was walking directly in front of the Queen and she had to scurry round him to get back on track.

Humidity changing widely. We had a few thunderstorms that drove it up but not the temperature down. Next day back to normal.

If the trend of the preceding years hold I fear we'll have a winter of no freezing sooner or later (and likely sooner).
