I occasionally use Tesco's BlinkBox as you can buy episodes for a £1 or so, and no subscription. Also, use On Demand TV which is around £3/4 pounds for a film, but rarely so I don't actually spend much at all.

No. The quality of the programs makes me like to watch the BBC.

Broadly we like our license system. The BBC would be very different if it were to go.

Of course, one has to be aware of bias but that's not so hard unless one only listens/watches the BBC.

Call me cynic but I think the license system is a backdoor attempt to annoy the tax payers to kill the Beeb at some future time.
