Are tests needed? It's pretty easy to see whether a walrus is bleeding from its eye sockets, etc.

Since this is about the most frequented thread, I have a small question:
What does 'to teach shop' mean? It seems to occur mostly in the form 'he/she taught shop' and often in the conditional 'if he/she taught shop'.
