I  poured a bit of tea on the keyboard in the evenng and now half the keys don't work despite drying over night upside down. Using virtual keyboard now.

Most people don't turn upside down when drying keyboards. But then, most people don't have wet keyboards.

what? Bat's in the belfry? I suppose a bat might  hang upside down but it might equally just flap about a lot.

But even in flight the heads tend to point downward. There should be bats in the belfry next door, although I have not yet seen them in there (only outside). It´s a bit too far to the old fort (Spandauer Zitadelle) to catch the evening meal here (I think).

Up side down isn't the best solution, vertical should work better, plus try to dry with a hair dryer.

Unfortunately it's the laptop not the PC. But I ordered a new USB keyboard anyway.
Not sure that a hairdryer is a safe solution, although that idea came up.

The effects are interesting though. Some keys work, some don't and some result in different characters than usual. E.g. they keys on the right hand of the main block now yield numbers instead of umlaute.
