Don't underestimate it. I don't know specifically about Florida but in other places there are even sled races when the last snow was seen somewhere around the last ice age.

Usually wheels are put under the sleds but I would not be surprised if some rich Persian Golf twit would do it on ice in the desert. They built huge indoor skiing resorts already.

I've seen cold adapted dogs suffer in a hot weather, like chow-chows and akitas.
