Very kind of corporations to block content that criticize their pawns politicians.

Not anymore. It was one of the major email providers but at the moment I can't remember the name (AOL had the reputation too but I do not know whether it was actually proven). As for the 'speed adjustment', the whole industry lobbied for that and almost got Congress to pass it. Of course it was not advertised as 'we want to block liberal sites' but that clearly was one reason (apart from fleecing users by selling them bandwith by the bit of course).

Last    without bothering to do *any* research, I'll guess that Comcast might be among the companies Swato is describing     Post.

I know about the whole net neutrality thing, but I never saw it applied to protect political tools/allies.

Last and indeed Comcast has been a major offender but mostly of torrent sites Post

If it wasn't so lucrative, the big media companies would highly restrict net access for commoners.

The electrocution of showering soldiers was another speciality (known for years)

Well (or actually not well), the sloppy procedures leading to said shower electrocutions continued long after the problem was discovered. Iirc some soldiers even got disciplined (=punished) for the refusal to use those potential death traps. So, the problem was not just known but the knowledge actively suppressed so nothing had to be changed. We should not forget that some military members kept quite cosy relationships with contractors, clearly in the hope to switch later from public to private service (and e.g. the mercenary companies payed often 5 times more for essentially the same job than the military).
KBR was involved in food scandals with procedures at their kitchens that made the food served to the soldiers a significant health risk (fecal bacteria, salmonella, E.coli, or simple rot because of broken cold chain in a hot climate).

I almost mentioned that. But the KBRistas were probably subtle enough to remove visible traces of their malpractices. It was just necessary to keep the recipients out of the kitchen.
