Austria is very low on the list of acceptable countries. I hate the accent, I loathe the general mindset (individual Austrians have to proof to me that they do not share it. No benefit of the doubt).

Scandinavia is still an option if I ever manage to learn one of the languages well enough.

Your (predictable) reaction towards Austria is not too different from mine towards the US bible belt and the southern* accent. On the same token I would have a hard time considering moving anywhere in the 'south' unless they were paying a small fortune.

Last I admit that every time I hear a (white) southern accent I have to make an effort not to be prejudiced** Post

*I live in the very south of the US yet the prevalent accent here is more akin to a north eastern one.
**frequently listening to individuals with said accent and dominionist/tea party/fundie arguments doesn't help either.

This is the one prejudice I am aware of and find difficult to shake. I'm not rigid, but I'm afraid that it is my knee-jerk reaction. In my case, relatives (un burdened with rational thinking) affecting a "Dominionist" accent is where it started for me.   :-[
