Last New Moon? Post
Yes, that awful piece of shite. I have read the book and the only way to make it more tolerable would be to scrap canon and re-write it completely.

Thanks for warning me. I mean, unfortunately I will have to go watch it, as my girlfriend wants to see it (she actually liked the first movie, never read the book).

I mean, I could find a way not to go, but I already passed on the Harry Potter movie, so passing on this would probably cost me a week or two of silent treatment...

Actually, movie and basis for same notwithstanding, I've been hearing much praise for the soundtrack (which probably isn't actually audible during the movie, except at the credits ;)).

Last I don't mind the Harry Potter movies, but the latest instalment was rather underwhelming on film Post
WWDDD?

Scriblerus the Philosophe

That's my favorite one so far. Did a much better job with setting up Harry/Ginny than the books did and I enjoyed the various fights. And the canaries. Those were a nice touch.

Looks like a major strategic error on your part. One might think what one will about the HP franchise but it clearly beats those neurotic abstinence-only vampires of that Mormon lady (although not at the box office anymore. What has the world come to?)

Eh, I prefer the books if I want plot progression, so I see the movies primarily for the action & SFX*. The spectacle level just didn't match up with previous movies this time around.  It was fine, otherwise.

Last I rarely go to the movies, so I want justification for big-screen viewing when I do ;) Post
