But I got stung in broad daylight by a wasp yesterday (second time in my life iirc).

Least problematic part of the hand (and the left one for that matter).
Tolerable pain yesterday. But still for some reason extremly sensitive to cooling while otherwise I barely notice it now.
Usually it is recommended to cool a sting and last time that was the right option (then it was on the ankle because iirc the wasp was in the shoe).

I seem not to be allergic against that (yet).
But I read that an allergy can develop over time.
Each sting a new throw of the dice.
I was surprised to also read that the sting of a bee is ten times more potent than that of a wasp (I assume for the most common type of honey bees and wasp around here).

Tipulidae ("Schnaken" in German) are considered to be a group of mosquitoes too but they are strict vegetarians.
To me at least they look like really oversized ones, so I still tend to be afraid of them.
