I have not idea how some one can mess up my last name, its nearly as common as "Smith", but they did. They messed up my birthday as well.
Which means I cannot get into my community college's webadvisor thing to fix my last name.
I've spent four weeks, when I had time to, trying to fix it, faxing crap in, calling, etc. I just got off the phone with a lady, AND I STILL CAN'T GET IN!

Reminds me of the time someone tried the "It's the computer" excuse on my mother. Unfortunately for him she worked for a company making computer memory drums in the 70s (yes, it really did come in drums).
By the time she'd finished with the "Don't give me that, it only gives back what you've put in..." speech he retired injured.

No, they know how to fix it, they just forgot to reset the password for my webadvisor, since that was originally was my birthday. Who ever typed in my info just screwed by on my last name and put my birth year as 1983 or someting. I was just frustrated that it took so long and I had to many hoops to just through.

But I think I'll hang on to Fluffy, I'm going to school there for the next two years, so I may need her assistance again.

In a similar vein, let me share a beef with you.

I offered my help to a local website that was badly in need of updating. The owner was glad to have my assistance and is enthusiastic about my work. But the two other ladies that work there, her personal secretary and accountant, have been so snide and unfriendly with me that I avoid their office at all costs. (I work from  home). They are both well-dressed, educated mature ladies (probably in their sixties), but are acting like snotty teenaged rivals whenever they see me.

It recently occurred to me that they were probably supposed to be helping with the website, but didn't know how or didn't bother and are now being shown up by my work and are embarrassed!

If I never see them again, it will be too soon. They stress me out.

It aint easy not to snark back at them. I just have to keep in mind that people like me for my good qualities, not my bad ones, so I have to try to be good!
