My mother (95) had a stroke this morning about 5 AM local.  The doctor reported this morning that she was unconscious and non-responsive on the left side.  I just talked to the nurse's station and she has improved a bit.  Semi-conscious and can move her left side, though she favors the right.

She sounds like one tough cookie to have come through all this at age 95. More power to her!

Not much change this afternoon.

Not much change this afternoon.

Sometimes "no change" is the best we can hope for.

Sorry to hear about this, mate.
Sometimes, the real journey can only be taken by making a mistake.

my webpage-- alas, Cox deleted it--dead link... oh well ::)

Things are not looking good.  I talked to her doctor today.  He referred to the stroke as "massive", and thinks there is little chance of recovery.

Right now, we are doing pain management and letting nature take its course.  Tough decision, but I don't see a realistic alternative.
