Nope.  We have a combination of proper Marxist government-owned liquor stores (which also sell beer) and evil fascist corporate-owned, government-sanctioned beer stores (owned by the major brewers).  Beer, wine and liquor producers of all sizes can also sell their wares from on-site retail stores at their breweries/wineries/distilleries.

One of my friends who works for a big brewery pointed out to me that the LCBO is his company's biggest customer (through its retail stores), biggest distributor (to restaurants, etc.), major competitor (to the brewery-owned Beer Store) and until recently, regulatory agency.  It's a weird relationship.

Not from the liquor store, but there's a number of dial-a-bottle services that keep stock on hand and will deliver at all hours (for a fee - you do have to pay for the privilege).

Oq.  BC does the same, with no official dial-a-bottle in smaller centres (although if you know the right cabbie or work at a restaurant that doesn't mind 'lending' stock...) 

Alberta has stores until 2 am, sometimes later if they are pushing their licence a bit.
