It was you that put it in the "guess the movie" or not (too lazy to check)?
Amazon.co.uk slashed the prices recently and I took the opportunity.

The First Eden (David Attenborough, BBC 1987)
Knurrhähne sind eßbar aber empfehlen würde ich das nicht unbedingt.
The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

Yup, it was me... Did you like it?

had to get used to the visual style (a bit erratic in the first one). Blood and Iron is better on that front though I would not necessarily say it is the better movie.
Let's say I do not regret the money spent on the DVDs.

Always thought it was about 3 girls out on a hen night in Glasgow; seems not.

Recording stopped after 55 mins. Just got to the bit where they are in the lake.

Luckily I found the final scene.

I watched "Natural City" a Korean Blade Runner style SciFi movie last night.

Much darker than the usual Hollywood production, I liked it.

Last night, I watched two things at the same time: a two-part episode of CSI, and a raccoon with a runny nose on the ledge near my window.

He wandered back and forth for the better part of two hours.  I suspect he climbed up there and was unsure how to get down.  Not sure why... the gas meter was right there for him to climb down whenever he wanted.

I shake in horror what Hollywood would have made of the Gynoid suicide at the end.

My stock of Korean movies is growing rapidly. There is a rather new label in Germany that puts out East-Asian movies in good editions and I am a regular customer.

In the UK labels are what we wear on the outside of our clothes.

Just watched Fanny Hill. What a cop out at the end. Thought Cleland was supposed to be a grumpy old sod, not a romantic idiot.

the racoon was waiting for you to open the window and provide treats--- very typical racoon behaviour- especially once they are habituated to the presence of people and trash cans..... warning- don't feed it- they are worse than cats- it will never leave and it does sound like it's a bit 'ill' --- they bite as well.

not watching anything right now.

Watching Spencer as he watches Dan...

Spencer's afraid Daddy will go away for a long time again, and refuses to let Dan out of his sight.

~ Tea with Mussolini ~

One of those films I can't believe I have never seen before.

Feeling very sorry for myself, my head full of sinus, crunching and so on, hardly able to limp to the kitchen, but when I heard Maggie Smith say ""The Germans and the Italians couldn't get rid of us. There is absolutely no reason why we should surrender to the Scots" all became right with my world. That's the spirit. Bugger not being able to function, and feeling like last year's dinner, I can still grin.
