Will you join the BAN WIDESCREEN campaign?

I am using the power of my mind to bring about the destruction of WIDESCREEN
Go away. You're bonkers.
My mind is open to more information.
Where can I buy stickers?
I've joined the TALLSCREEN campaign instead

I'd like to change my vote.

It *does* irritate me when wide people in front block my view of the screen, dadgummit!

No, you misunderstandinate me. I'm just reacting to your movement's name. (Although, to be fair, it's probably wide people's *backs* that are opposing my view rather than their *fronts*, unless they're turning around to glare at me for complaining about theirblocking my view of the screen.   Never mind...)

[edit] And don't even  get me started on those tall people and how much screenage they  can block! [/edit]

Pieces, if you don't want to join my movement, you might be interested in our sister organisation The Banish Widescreen People. Their mission statement is to wipe out the evolutionary error which has caused all this, namely all the people of increased girth that has necessitated widescreens. We are only concerned with the widescreens and not the underlying causation. Afriad I can't help with height issues; you could start your own movement.

: pieces tucks her 5-foot-9-inch frame neatly into a full lotus while daintily snarfing chocolate, to better contemplate which pair of stiletto heels she should wear to initiate a protest against tall people :
:giggle:

: pieces also apologizes for yanking your chain about screenage issues and wishes you the very best in your crusade against urban sprawl in screen real estate, and offers chocolate as a peace offering :

: pieces cannot resist pointing out that the chocolate proffered was specifically chosen to fit even the most narrow of screens :

Swatopluk

For some older widescreen excesses:

In this format the hundred metres (men) can be seen in its entirety.
Knurrhähne sind eßbar aber empfehlen würde ich das nicht unbedingt.
The aspitriglos is edible though I do not actually recommend it.

What about backsides? hmmmmmmmmm

No, they can be useful if the sun shines out of them.

ANNOUNCEMENT

I'd like to highlight the success of this campaign for all the doubters.

Only 2 out of 10 people do not have a positive attitude.

Scriblerus the Philosophe

Hadn't even noticed that as I have a wide screen (1200x800, I think). Some sites are giving you the choice, by the way, and if you've got vistagoth, you can play with the browser to side-tool bar ratio.
