It looks like a cousin of the archeopteryx, perhaps a very old ancestor of a parrot in the same way a cynodont is related to us.

Very close, Zono.  It is indeed a dinosaur called Anchiornis Huxleyi  (according to my newspaper).  Beats me how they know what its name was, after all those zillions of years. 

As for cynodonts,  I'd rather not think about them ...
