Juan had lost his hat and stopped Don Pasquale in the street to ask him if he had seen it. They were soon joined by their friends Pascal and Ada. Ada said she had seen the hat on a seat at the nearby station, only because she had a bit of a lisp it came out like "on a sheet at the thtation". Nonetheless, Juan was delighted.
