Al Frankin declared winner in Minnesota

According to Pharyngula blog, here the Minnesota election board declared Frankin the winner.

Coleman's suit was rejected by the court (later in the article) without comment.

One less Rethuglican goes to Washington.....

Maybe I ought to re-think my position on God...!

I saw this morning where the election board was expected to declare the race for Franken.  This is the first I have seen that confirms it.

As I understand it, Coleman is still expected to fight it in court, even though his first attempt with the Minnesota Supreme Court has failed.

D@mn*ed close race.  225 votes out of - at a guess - a million or so.

I've been waiting for this day ever since reading Al's 'joke' plan to get elected to Congress and help get W impeached -- just on general principles -- before the next president (whom we now know is Obama) takes office.

One of my favorite possessions is my signed copy of TRUTH with jokes and accompanying photo of me cheesing it up with the author hisownself.

Wait for it to go to SCOTUS and be decided at the end of the senatorial term (while meanwhile the incumbent stays in offcie).
Wouldn't put it past them.

For what I read the incumbent can't remain in the meantime, therefore the senate will have one less until the issue is resolved.
