Title: Possible new Alzheimers treatment
Post by: Griffin NoName on March 21, 2015, 02:20:44 AM
Scanning ultrasound removes amyloid-β and restores memory in an Alzheimer's disease mouse model

Less scientific write up http://www.sciencealert.com/new-alzheimer-s-treatment-fully-restores-memory-function : Of the mice that received the treatment, 75 percent got their memories back.

My only worry is if they treated me, I really wouldn't like to get a mouse memory turning up.

Curious, I saw a different article in The Guardian about a different approach:

and from there to a new use for Mary Jane:

Sadly I now have a reason to look into this stuff as my mother was recently diagnosed with AD and early onset Parkinson's.  :-[
