I understand that China wants to give Romney a global humanitarian award, for helping to create so many middle-class jobs in China.

The irony is that it indeed helped raise the standard of living in those countries and that in itself is a good thing, the problem is when the stated goal of lowering taxes is to create jobs locally, said policy would be better called job destruction or more accurately, job (and knowledge) transfer.

Properly briefed, a western voter would never endorse such policy.

Some companies are already shifting production away from China because those ungrateful Chinese workers begin to make demands almost as bad as their 19th century European and US predecessors. And the state seems to be reluctant to club them down as it used to when the companies decided to go there. But fortunately there are still some reliable partners in the neighbourhood (although Burma might become a risky bet there). If all else fails, North Korea may become the provider of last resort.

Vietnam seems to be benefiting from this shift at the moment.  I will not be surprised if that is exactly the route North Korea takes under the new regime / as the old guard dies off and the Western-educated children of the elites start to gain influence.

And when NK finally break down, conditions in the US will be favorable again (and we can all forget about the horrible 20th century, esp. the third quarter, or more precise the fourth fifth before St.Ronnie started us down the path towards restauration of the golden* age).

*at least the top µm were pure gold and that's all that really matters.
