Funny thing, hey?  You rarely see fruits and veggies advertised on TV. This means, despite the pull of junk foods, produce sells well enough on it's own that it doesn't need to be advertised. There is some hope. 

I recall seeing masses of ads when I was a kid for Froot Loops (and other junk cereal) and lusted after them; on the few opportunities I got to try them I realized quickly that 'Froot' tastes nasty and bitter and not much like Fruit at all.


Incidentally, I've found you can always tell when a movie has bombed with the test audiences, because they crank up the advertising to 11.  Maybe it's the same for food - you wouldn't normally accept X as a legitimate food product, so they have to ram it down your throat.

I liked the cartoon, because of the phrase "yellow-flavored".  They did not even bother to name it after something edible, but instead, after it's only distinguishable feature.
