Title: UK Siblings Govt. Petitions
Post by: Griffin NoName on September 06, 2012, 07:44:29 PM
Realised we have a gap in our threads here. So here is my first request. I quite frequently sign govt. petitions on the official site.

Anyone who feels able to vote on benefit cuts for sick and disabled:

We ask the government to stop this massive programme of piecemeal change until they can review the impact of all these changes, taken together, on disabled people and their carers. We ask the government to stand by its duty of care to disabled people and their carers. At the moment the covenant seems to be broken and they do not feel safe.

I'd sign if I could-- but I'd need a time machine.... (to go back and convince my ancestors to stay in Europe...)

Good luck, though.   Don't let the haves win this one.

I was joking, Griffin. I voted four times. ;D Just kidding, I voted once. I'm not one for voter fraud. ;)

Can they file separately for benefits?       ;)

Don't see why not, under the new legislation, it matters not how many people get awarded zero. :D

FFS they are at it again. If you can walk >20 metres (like from house to car in  road) but no further then you qualify for benefit. Any further, and no benefit. Estimate that 500,000 disabled people will lose their benefits and 300,000 will lose their mobility cars (eg. special cars adapted for wheelchairs etc). ie. at least 300,000 and probably more will be totally housebound no longer even being able to afford taxis. It is really disgusting. It borders on regarding disaabled people as vermin.
