My Dad will be 95 on 20th August.
I have mixed feelings as he is a bully and can be very very unpleasant. Always has been. But that's not really relevant.
I need a present to give him.
He is in a care home, almost blind, and his main interest is telling the care home management how they should be running things. He formed a committee of elderly ladies to help.
I don't spend a huge amount on presents as I have to give a lot of them and I am pension poor. But it is his 95th.
I have no idea what to get him that he hasn't already got in his care home room.
The only thing I can think of is a hammer to bring his committee to attention.
Ideas?

Seriously though, what about something cheap, non-committal and gifty, such as a box of chocolates and a card? It's not as if he needs anything major laying about his room at this point.
He has a food intolerance to chocolate. He curses anyone who brings him anything to eat as he always says he has too much.

I didn't see that. In fact I think I only saw a fraction of the items on the site. It seems to depend where you get to.
Very clever of you Beagle; he measures the liquid that he drinks every day. Very exactly. Something to do with his salt levels. (I don't think it needs to be exact, I'm sure about a pint or whatever would do, but he takes everything doctors say very literally). When at home, the fridge was always filled with little bottles labelled
"Drink Me" precisely in writing too small for me to read. How he manage at the care home I have no idea as they serve up his drinks etc. I simply don't want to know. He would take an hour to explain his system to me in every detail.
Unfortunately I had already ordered the item finder beeper thingy. He won't remember which colour is which object but trying to find the right one should give him some extra exercise, especially if it is the last colour he tries.
