Apart from youtube (etc.) I watch movies either in the cinema or from DVD.
Until recently streaming would not have been an option due to limited bandwith.
I generally prefer to have the stuff available offline.

I don't have Netflix or Prime (the big ones here). I do feel I am missing out, but don't want the expense. Also cannot keep up with my recordings off TV - permanently about to run out of disc space.

C.cases coming down. Probably time to open up and get them rising again. The govt. says it has been doing all it can, but not to what end. I have had the Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine (1st shot) which is the least effective, I wanted the Pfizer but no choice. Somehow I got into the priority category.

Vaccination situation not good either in Germany. Lots of vaccination centers but with too little vaccine available.
Also we now have closed our Southern borders to keep out the South African mutant strain that has been found in Tyrol and the Czech Republic.

I have my doubts about that Russian vaccine. It came out so early that they simply could not have tested it properly. Even the Chinese took longer.

Lots of people offered vaccine have turned them down. Hence herd immunity threatened. Of course, new variants will do the same anyway. We need to learn to live like our ancestors with no health service (NHS collapsing) and no anti-biotics etc. We've done it before (as a species) and still multiplied and who says living shouldn't be short, brutal, and generally horrid.
