Why not neutralinos? (that's not the same as a neutrino)

Nah, that guy had too little fantasy (although he made whole cloth by profession).

On the OP, I noticed it was Conservapedia, and started laughing long before the page loaded, already knowing it was going to be lulz galore. Let me point out just one example, randomly picked. They even provide a reference to the article in The Economist. Conservapedia says:-

The double star "W13" weighs "40 times as much as the sun—more than enough to form a black hole. So why is it not a black hole? The only explanation [a leading scientist] can think of ... does not make astrophysical sense.

This is incorrect. The double star W13 does not weigh 40 times as much as the sun. The star that begat the magnetar in the same cluster weighed that much. The original article is HERE, but I also recommend you read the comments too. In there are some fine examples of reasons that Conservapedia are wrong. Yet again that website fails epically.

Conservapedia: Twisting the truth in the name of Jeebus, who apparently was made of either photons or neutralinos, and was fan-fiction of Saul of Tarsus.

FSM, that was a mouthful! :D

Jebus's photons must've been packed pretty densely or the nails would've cut through his hands.

EDIT: No!  I'm wrong.  He wouldn't have had any rest mass so he wouldn't have been pulled down.

Sibling Zono (anon1mat0)

The fact that a star 15 times heavier than the sun may make a black hole doesn't mean that such mass can't be a star before exploding, besides, not all massive stars become black holes, you can have a pair instability hypernova in which a matter/antimatter chain reaction creates an explosion so violent that not even a black hole is left.

And in theory there is not much of a lower mass limit for black holes. Small ones would be unstable but still could exist for a short time. Scientists were actually looking for black mini-holes because some theories of cosmology require them. And there was some discussion whether large accelerators could produce them as a byproduct. It was not seen as a danger though by the serious guys because a) it would evaporate soon and b) it's pull would be so small as to be (close to) unmeasurable. An atom based on gravity instead of electromagnetism would be many orders of magnitude smaller than its constituent parts. The size of an atomic black hole compared to the atom would be something like an atom to a planet (the Earth would make a black hole the size of a pea iirc) or even more extreme.

Hey, a galaxy is slightly heavier than our sun too. Why doesn't it implode ;)
