Last Moose are often angry, over that whole mooses/meeces thing, because not everybody remembers that the correct line is "I hates MEECES to pieces." Not mooses, meeces. That's my story, and I'm stickin' to it, anyhoo... Post

Chapter Nineteen
-------------------------------

Next morning after breakfast, Whipplestein took refuge in the dungeon.  The gaoler was kind and tender hearted but quite deaf.  Not hearing Whipplestein enter, he let out a very violent molerat and cursed it using an elongated staff. Whipplestein's surprised pet adder slithered towards an amourous ant nest.  His intentions were obvious. The molerat scurried away to buy time. Frenetic luncheon preparations

A shake made with chocolate ice cream and whole cream.

Guess who lost 9 pounds in 6 days...and is on a forced high calorie diet. ::)

Next they'll have me eating a sack of sugar. (Washed down with 2 metformin.)

Depends on the 'depth' of the stuff...how long it has been there, etc.

I don't really remember anymore, as it has bees several years. (I've slept since then and I need retraining every time...)

Used it to draw out a broken-off half toothpick in my toe years ago, and it didn't hurt, just sorta popped up and I pulled it out.

(It was also used to pull broom handle splinters out of my back 30+ years after the fact, and didn't hurt then either, only itched.)

It's magic. There are little gremlins, of 2 kinds, the Mags and the Sulps, and they take turns sneaking the splinters past the nerve endings. They're really good at sneaking stuff, so you never know that it MIGHT have hurt, but didn't.

Isn't science fascinating?

OH, yeah, make me feel old.

I spent that evening helping out friends who owned a restaurant near NASA because they had a private party in their banquet room...the Columbia Houston Team. About 30 of them...or about 100 bottles of champagne worth.

Some of them had been up for 36 straight hours, and just crashed. We had the waiters drive them home and take a cab back to the restaurant. They booked EVERY after-shuttle party there, for years.

I tried to get GW's crowd to go to the Comedy Workshop where Billy and Sam were working out their routines...

That was "too much like work, you know, having to listen to people talk." Besides, by that time GW was mostly living in Dallas, not Houston. I know  him best during the time he was about to go AWOL from the National Guard.

And they come in my size, and they come in cool colors, and they'll definitely show what kind of 'weird hippie chick' I still am.

And the prices are AMAZINGLY low.
